Social stigma is making people that suffer from mental health problems anxious about re-entering the workplace a new poll has revealed. The effect of this is extremely damaging to individuals affected and also is also having a substantial impact on the economy. Archaic and bigoted opinions expressed by people in the workplace are said to be putting off 4 out of 10 people that are suffering from mental illness and are out of work. This means there is a large demographic able people that are not seeking employment as a result of stigma.
