| An opportunity exists for a Business Analyst for to join a project team following an exciting new acquisition by a leading global institution. This considerable project will expose the successful candidate to many different aspects of the business. Key Requirements of role The Business Analyst will be required to ensure the accurate data migration of a large amount of financial data. The project team will measure the impact of new systems, study the reference data changes and check that business requirements are met. The Analyst will work with IT and the business end users to implement data changes. The project team will also chair meetings and communicate with senior level management. Other key responsibilities of the role will include the coordination of user acceptance testing of these changes across the organisation. Candidates applying for this role must have business analysis experience from a Financial Services background and have knowledge of banking products and systems. This is not a developer role, but a pivotal role for a Business Analyst who has working experience of reporting systems and data warehouses, and who can translate business requirements to technical teams. Key skill requirements include •Strong analytical skills •Business or Project analysis experience •Ability to work to tight deadlines and to prioritise •Ability to communicate at varying levels across the business •Measuring the impact of systems •Reporting data changes and checking data requirements •Ability to interpret that data and communicate as appropriate Technical knowledge •Experience of Banking systems, risk platforms & databases •Working knowledge of Oracle, SQL & Access •Microsoft Project •Knowledge of Credit or Liquidity Risk management including Basel ll •Working knowledge of banking products This challenging role requires a confident person who can take a proactive approach to Business Analysis working with a team of skilled operatives.
