| Role: Bid Manager Location: Oldham Salary: £53,000 - £58,000 plus benefits Apply to: s.bailey@jamjobs.co.uk A blue chip company are looking for a Bid Manager to lead bid management of major tender opportunities, taking responsibility for Commercial Management with specific customers. Key Responsibility Areas: · To develop effective, long-term business relationships with key customer decision makers. · To work closely with Account Managers and Product Development team to develop business opportunities. · To take responsibility for contract negotiations with customers and major subcontractors/partners and liaising with the Company’s legal advisors as and when appropriate. · To review on a daily basis the performance of contracts ensuring pricing and contractual opportunities are maximised. · Evaluate commercial terms for ad hoc requests and as part of full tender proposals. · Preparation, approval, submission and negotiation of bid and tender documents Desirables: · Strong customer management skills with a track record of managing customer key decision makers. · Experience in successful bid management of complex, multi million pound bid opportunities · An understanding of commercial documents and the ability to assess the commercial implications. · Ability to negotiate in a manner that provides the customer with confidence whilst achieving the most positive results for the business. · To be at ease with existing and new technologies and to adapt to new technologies with enthusiasm and thoroughness. o Expert bid management skills including all aspects of the bid cycle o Analysis of customer tender documents to determine customer requirements and response strategy and structure o Bid launch o Bid management (programme, expediting, review meetings) o Writing commercial sections for terms and conditions, pricing etc,etc including any third party inputs o Bid/No Bid and Tender Review Meeting preparation and participation o Collation and submission of complete bid response o Customer presentation of bid responses o On contract award a clear handover to the business as usual team This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world leader which values its employees and offers excellent career progression potential and will invest heavily in your own personal development!
