| An Edinburgh based Shared Services function is recruiting for a Senior Analyst. The Shared Services function is responsible for the operation and reporting of the core financial systems of the bank. This new Senior Analyst position sits within a specialist division. The role is pivotal to the divisional income, monthly reporting and documentation and query resolution. Job Description: •Prepare reports and provide advice to associated banking businesses •Administer systems and processes to support the delivery of monthly statements and reports •Ensure monthly sign-offs are ready and completed within set standards •Ensure that reports are produced on time and to a very high standard •Act as the main point of reference to provide guidance and advice to the division Essential Skills •Able to deal with volume complex transactions •Able to work to tight deadlines •Banking systems knowledge •Experience in Financial Services •Experience in handling financial data, understanding both Operational Banking systems and reporting systems •Good communication skills Technical Skills •Understanding and ability to manipulate and report on financial data using Business Objects •Part Qualified or QBE •A good level of MS skills including Access & Excel •Aptitude for working with specialist banking applications (training will be given) including Walker, Caustic, INEA,UKBMIS & Glacier This role will suit a qualified or part qualified accountant with technical acumen across specialist financial applications. The Senior Analyst will need strong communication and interpersonal skills to enable them to guide and influence a division of a global banking institution.
