| Job Description and role: An Edinburgh based financial institution is recruiting for a Test Analyst into their Business Improvement function. The Test Analyst must have proven work experience in the project or change management field. A banking or a business background is a must have requirement as is practical experience of UAT. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that accurate testing of business requirements have been achieved against the agreed test plan. Main responsibilities: •Develop test cases and verify business requirements •Ensure the full traceability and mapping of system •Create a schedule and test scripts and source and prepare data •Create and maintain UAT packs •Ensure issues are logged appropriately and solutions tested •Ensure that all test documentation is produced, maintained and filed correctly •Ensure compliance to all department standards Essential Skills •Practical working knowledge of the design and execution of UAT •Ability to gather information from various databases and through dialogue with internal groups. •Excellent written skills to ensure the quality of test scripts and design principles •Experience in Ledger processing, Statutory and Financial reporting would be an advantage as well as understanding accounting principles. Technical Skills •Understanding of project / change management techniques •Competent MS Office skills •Familiarity with industry testing , ideally with a view to study a formal testing qualification This is an exciting opportunity to join a business improvement function who are pivotal in the impact of change across the organisation.
