| Technical Accountant We have an opportunity for a qualified accountant to join the Finance division of an Edinburgh based Financial Services institution. The company are renowned for driving change and are a key player in the Financial Markets. There are key criteria to joining the company in the capacity of Technical Accountant. Prospective applicants must demonstrate an awareness of managing financial risk and control, and have experience in consolidating accounts in a Financial Services environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining Statutory Reporting Compliance and managing accounting developments going forward. Job description •Produce statutory accounts •Deliver accurate & timely regulatory reporting •Facilitate audit process •Provide accurate & timely MI •Ensure compliance with IAS financial accounting reporting standards and audit requirements •Supervise month end accounting •Liaise with regulatory bodies to authorize financial transactions Responsibilities: •Understand business issues and deal with enquiries in a professional manner •Manage internal business relationships •Deliver continuous improvement across process, cost, efficiency and customer service •Meet tight deadlines with a high quality output Technical requirements of the role: •Qualified accountant (preferably CA qualification) •Develop collaborative working relationship with stakeholders •Practical experience of working within a Finance environment working to month end deadlines •Ability to apply & consolidate finance skills and knowledge to a diverse range of Financial issues, through application of technical accounting skills This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who will thrive in a pivotal role, promoting good business relationships and work practises.
