| Supervisory Responsibilities Floor Staff Accountabilities Responsible for modelling and acting in accordance with Grounded Sandwich Bar’s Code of Conduct and Operations manual Providing customers with prompt service, quality food and beverage products, friendly and sociable customer experience, and a clean and comfortable environment. Main Duties Deliver excellent customer service to all customers by acting with a “customer comes first” attitude and connecting with the customer Delegating tasks to staff to ensure premises are “Customer Ready” and service is of optimum standard Staff Management and Motivation tasks as required Shift Management – customer service, resolve complaints etc. Ensure Health, Safety and Sanitation guidelines are being adhered to at all times Maintain stock levels of the Sandwich Bar by monitoring and ordering stock in advance Reporting to management – hand over at end of shift Being knowledgeable on all products offered by Grounded Sandwich Bars Cash and Float Management, banking takings at the end of each shift Ensure sandwiches are being prepared to individual order of customers: Food preparation if required – Slicing cold meats and cheese, cutting bread, preparing toasts or grills, chopping or slicing vegetables, preparing garnishes, make dressings, fillings, and spreads etc. Maintains a clean and organised workspace and machinery so that others can locate resources and products as needed Welcoming, thanking, and aiding customers in their product selection Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for queues Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality Answering telephone taking orders from customers and processing order ready for collection |

| Skills: | The Person ~ Understanding of customer service environment and importance of delivering on customer expectations ~ Knowledge of Food and Beverage Industry - restaurant/ coffee/ sandwich bar etc ~ Food hygiene certificate desirable ~ Customer Service experience; face to face interaction ~ Ability to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions and request clarification when needed - work on own intiative ~ Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels ~ Good organisational and time management skills ~ Experience of working as an assistant manager in a catering related environment ~ Experience in team management/ staff management – supervisory experience ~ Experience of operating tills, floats and banking |
