The principal function of the role is to support the senior procurement manager in the development of the procurement strategy and subsequently scheduling of the various work packages for the Thames and Lee tunnels. If you are interested then read on… The priorities of this role include: Drafting the procurement strategy document for discussion and managing a procurement strategy workshop Development and management of an international tunneling market engagement plan Working with project managers and the market to develop the optimum number and value of tunneling and shaft works packages, which reflect market capability and optimum risk allocation. Planning and optimisation of consultancy services packages for design and specialist services. Developing incentive structures and KPI’s across all packages to facilitate collaborative working and incentivisation jointly with the programme manager. The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge: Extensive experience and understanding of procurement processes related to civil and MEICA projects, tendering and commercial negotiation. Hands on business and commercial skills with ability to be pragmatic in balancing expediency with the search for ideal/best solutions Experience in the integration of budgeting and financial functions with management techniques Degree in engineering or equivalent training and experience |
