| Intermediate Planner/Senior Planner The Role: Our client is a market leading contractor within the construction. A Planner or Senior Planner with civil engineering experience is required to plan a variety of high profile projects. You will plan these from conception to completion, whilst also monitoring and reporting on progress. The Company: This client has been established for over 100 years, and throughout this period of time they have consolidated their position as one of the leading contractors in the UK market. Projects include commercial, leisure, PFI and transport. Due to project wins they seek a site based planner in the Hertfordshire area. This is to work on a high profile highways project. Essential skills: -The ideal candidate will have spent a minimum of 4 years working as a planner -You will have at least 4 years highways, roads, concrete or civil engineering experience -An engineering degree or engineering background will be advantageous but not essential -Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be communicating with Senior Planners and planning staff internally and both clients and other contractors externally You will work within the planning department, and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): -Costing and forecasting -Creating detailed project plans -Progress monitoring and progress reporting Remuneration Salaries will vary dependent on levels of experience, but you can expect a basic salary of between £30,000 and £45,000.
