| A Generic Housing Officer is urgently required to cover a large backlog, at least until October 2008. Our client who is a highly regarded social housing organisation seeks an additional Housing Officer. With a great team atmosphere and low staff turnover, this really is a Social Housing employer of choice in the Edinburgh & Lothian area. You will be required to work as part of a small team of Housing Officers and Assistants, managing all issues relating to a housing patch of your own properties. Your role will include: •Visiting tenants and solving tenant related problems. •General estate management and anti social behaviour issues. •Supervising junior staff in the absence of management. •Property allocations and voids management. •Pre and post inspections in conjunction with maintenance department needs. •Rent arrears recovery and allocations. Previous housing experience (1 year+) is a must to cover this secondment. Based in and around the Edinburgh area, a vehicle advantageous but not essential.
