Detailed Description The Client: Our client is a leading player in the entertainment industry The Role: </P> ; The company is seeking a QA Engineer to help deliver a top quality, reliable experience for customers. - Some programming knowledge in C# or Java is a definite advantage.
- You must have a passion for QA and be a very responsible, detail-oriented person
- Experience in testing interactive software that also needs to satisfy the needs of enterprise-class software requirements.
- You should be able to maintain grace under pressure in a fast-paced, high-calibre product development environment.
- They are looking for a QA engineer who knows what it takes to get software out the door.
Duties & Responsibilities: - You must be able to complete tasks on time while working with development engineers to understand features and to develop tests up to the last seconds of a deadline.
- A keen ability to understand how the software was developed, in order to devise insightful test scenarios is important
- The company platforms include Microsoft, Macintosh, and Web-based environments, running against client/server architecture.
- Experience with bug-tracking tools/databases is required
- You will produce bug reports that contain detailed instructions on the bug environment, and how to reproduce the problem
- You will perform regression testing, and develop new test scripts in conjunction with new feature development
- Applicants must have a well-rounded background across QA practices and have the ability to understand large, complex systems
- You will need a track record of shipping software products, and experience with the complete software development lifecycle
- You will need to develop test plans and work with development engineers to ensure all features/aspects of our products are fully functional
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required: - 4 year's minimum industry experience
- BSc or BA preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Experience writing and executing detailed Test Plans
- Experience working on Mac applications a huge plus
- Experience with test automation tools such as Fitnesse or Selenium is a definite advantage
- Knowledge of C#, C++ or Java, and Unit Testing frameworks is required
- Experience with test management tools (such as TestDirector or Quality Centre) is required
- Detail-oriented, highly motivated individual
- Ability to multi-task and test different applications necessary for a release
