| A HOMELESS ASSESSMENT OFFICER is required for large client in the central belt of Scotland (Falkirk / Stirling / Alloa) area for an ongoing assignment. Prospective applicants must be able to demonstrate a history of working in Homelessness casework as well as possessing direct experience of presentation / statutory assessments within a local authority. Performing the following duties on a daily basis, potential applicants must have strong experience of: •Carrying out complex homeless assessments, •Liaising internally with temp accommodation and casework teams, •Communicating with external bodies such as Central Government, charitable bodies and other housing associations in order to ascertain suitability and potential housing. In the role, the prime focus will be upon you monitoring the needs of clients who present themselves as homeless or in crisis regarding their tenancy situation. A first-rate team and excellent training and support await you. There is also potential for a success candidate to progress to a permanent position in the future. Importantly, you must be able to provide your own transport (work mileage can be claimed) and have an up-to-date Disclosure Scotland check.
