This role is based in the UK, working from their Maidenhead office

The Hardware Assist Tools and Stand Alone Tools (HAT/SAT) Sales Specialist is responsible for maximizing territory revenue within a specified geography by effectively managing our Client’s Channels, engaging in direct sales activities at designated accounts, and supporting Account Managers’ sales efforts in Regional accounts.

This role is based in the UK, working from their Maidenhead office. There is a requirement for some travel within the UK, Sweden, mainland Europe and, occasionally, to their US Headquarters.


The Role

•        Manage Direct and Indirect Alternative Channels by providing sales training and sales support and any other appropriate support to ensure Our Client's products are correctly represented.
•        Ensure Direct and Indirect Channel activities are managed to assist and prevent Channel Conflicts.
•        Manage day to day direct customer and partner activities to maximize territory revenue by promoting and selling Our Client's Hardware Assist Tools (HAT) and Stand Alone Tools (SAT) solutions.
•        Work as a member of a team to manage Our Client's Channels, customers, potential customers, partners and territory resources to maximize HAT SAT revenue.
•        Proactively create demand for Our Client's HAT SAT Solutions – by building, maintaining and developing a pipeline of prospects for Our Client's HAT SAT products by working with Our Client's Channels, Account Managers and Field Application Engineers; developing and fostering relationships with third party partners; and by following up on prospects for direct sales.
•        Arrange and orchestrate customer face-to-face meetings to understand customer requirements and communicate Our Client's product line and value proposition.
•        Demonstrate and utilize effective selling methods to manage the selling activities in Strategic Accounts, manage territory prospects with in the Sales Funnel and efficiently close sales to achieve territory quota.
•        Serve as conduit between Our Client's Channels, customers, Account Managers, Product Marketing Management and Engineering, to communicate industry trends, competitive updates, customer feature requests, and necessary product upgrades.
•        Utilize technical expertise and experience to provide technical presentations to Channels, customers, partners, and Our Client's Management.
•        Understand the strengths and weaknesses of Our Client's competitors’ products.

Candidate Requirements


The ideal candidate will:

•        Have a strong aptitude and technical background in electronics or software engineering, good time management and organisational skills and excellent customer service and sales skills. It is also a requirement that the person is highly computer literate and is a strong problem solver.

•        Be a technical sales professional who can demonstrate an awareness of the technical software sector as the role demands the ability to effectively understand and present solutions and services at all levels.

•        Have proven experience of working within the team environment.

Experience/Qualifications:

•        Ideally degree level educated
•        Minimum of 3 years working within a Hi-Tech-related sector in a sales-driven role, demonstrating an ability to exceed quota
•        Ideally, at least 1 year of experience in embedded development tools; real-time or operating systems software programming would be advantageous
•        Demonstrable success in establishing and cultivating business relationships at the “C” and “VP” level of organisations
•        Able to demonstrate an ongoing successful track record in respect of performance against plans or objectives – between short, medium and long term goals
•        Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
•        Strong IT and administration skills
•        Proven project planning experience
•        Willingness to drive multiple projects with good nature and flexibility
•        Ability and motivation to learn
