Corporate Finance Associate- Energy

Our Client is an entrepreneurial entity with a proven record in the fast growing and highly profitable Energy sector.  Due to ambitious growth plans, Our Client now seeks to recruit a Corporate Finance Associate.  This role offers excellent career progression opportunities.  The team consists of experienced professionals working in the Energy Industry. The role will involve supporting the business in capital raising; investment appraisal; financial modelling & analysis. 

Corporate Finance Associate

This role involves working as part of Our Client's Corporate Finance team which is an integral function of Our Client's business.  This role will report to the Manager of Corporate Finance.

The Corporate Finance function has responsibility for investment appraisal activities, acquisition of assets and companies, managing and sourcing short and long-term debt facilities and supporting business development in new markets. 

The successful candidate will be supported to develop the required skills to meet this demanding role.

Principal responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the acquisition/investment appraisal activities of the business globally including financial modelling and evaluation for the preparation of investment papers for internal approval.
  • Ability to prepare & present a project finance model to project finance banks
  • Interact with capital providers and external advisors on large scale, capital intensive, energy projects
  • Work internally as part of multi-functional teams to assess markets; technologies; companies and projects as required

The successful candidate:

  • Recently qualified accountant
  • Exceptional analytical skills including qualitative report writing and quantitative analysis using excel
  • Financial Modelling experience ideally
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams
  • Role will require travel abroad
