| IT Technician Wigan (client based North West) Salary £20k - £25k Upon Experience + Fuel Allowance Our client Provides a complete end-to-end range of services related to the provision of desktop PC and server infrastructure, including the latest technologies, as well as associated peripherals. Their client base is highly varied and comprises of a mixture of Corporate Clients, Local Government, Education Authorities, Colleges, and Universities. Duties § Working at various Regional client sites (North West) supporting existing Networks and providing support on all ICT issues: configuring/installing workstations, desktops, laptops, servers, network switches, wireless technologies etc. § Client Retention: Providing an excellent service § Focused on Customer Service and the delivery of Service Excellence § Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team § Able to work in an organised manner and prioritise work within the assigned zone Job Overview You will demonstrate commitment and ingenuity, providing an effective interface at the highest level between users and service providers. You will also proactively devise improvements and recommending changes to systems, products or services. Candidate Skills The person must have excellent Microsoft server skills typically Small Business Server / Exchange / Sharepoint / SQL / Virtual Server - basically a good all rounder. You must have a strong understanding of Windows server, and Networks including: cabling, patching, hubs, switches, and routers. Previous experience of advising clients on strategic planning would be beneficial. The candidate must have a car and be willing to travel to clients when required any travel will be expensed through a mileage claim.
