| Our client, a well known housing association in Edinburgh requires a Property Officer for a period of one year, to engage with the tenant group and monitor maintenance contractors in delivering an effective property management service to all tenants and any relevant third parties. You will have some responsibility for Stage 3 Adaptations as well as budgetary control for all cyclical, planned and reactive repairs. You will be reviewing contractors' performance, asset management issues and ensuring payments are correct, and indeed fair. You will report into the Property Manager and be a vital part of the tenant facing service of this small housing association, with some 30 permanent staff. Candidates must be skilled in social housing maintenance, have experience of the following: Large scale voids or pre- and post- inspections, Handling maintenance budgets from £30 - £10,000 per property, Stock condition surveys. Handling void properties as quickly as possible. In terms of the organisation, they are a well respected, top-rated Housing Association and offer free local parking to those interested. Depending on experience (an HNC and at least 5 years in construction or maintenance is a must) a salary of up to £30,000 is available for those who feel they match the above.
