Key Responsibilities: Day to Day running of large Supermarket

1. To achieve sales targets as agreed with Managing Director/Store Owner.
2. To achieve a Gross Profit margin and Net margin as agreed with Store Owner.
3. To control overheads as per Annual Budget.
4. To ensure Management Team have been set targets on Sales, Gross Profit, and Wastage and to agree such with them.
5. To ensure Management Team are trained appropriately and to the highest standard.
6. To ensure merchandising and presentation of entire store is of the highest standard at all times.
7. To control Stocktaking procedures.
8. To ensure the I.Q.A. Hygiene award is achieved annually.
9. To ensure Customer Care Service in the entire store is of the highest standard.
10. To encourage a good working relationship with all staff and with local community.
11. To hold regular communication meetings with management and staff.
12. To develop members of staff and the management team through the use of Appraisals, Training and Development Promotion etc.
13. To have an in-depth knowledge of all legislation as it pertains to this store, in particular, Health and Safety Regulations, Employment Legislation etc.
14. To manage and co-ordinate in-store and national promotions.
15. To be aware and implement all information that relates to your store which helps to gain efficiencies in operation i.e. reports/ scanning info etc.
16. To attend relevant conferences and seminars as directed by Store Owner.
17. To seek opportunities to develop yourself in relation to technical training and professional development.

Skills & Experience: You will have previous experience in retail management at either a senior number two level or store manager's position, with a passion for food retailing or wholesaling, a people person with a commercial edge and a desire to drive your own business category forward. Ambitious, not only for yourself but for your company
