GERMAN SPEAKING TRAVEL CONSULTANT / ADMINISTRATOR REQUIRED FOR SPECIALIST TOUR OPERATOR!

My client is an independent tour operator specialising in activity and ski holidays. They now require a German Speaking Travel Consultant / Administrator to work from home, on a part-time basis initially, then later full-time.

KEY DUTIES OF GERMAN SPEAKING TOUR OPERATIONS CONSULTANT / ADMINISTRATOR:

* Double-check confirmed bookings and contact our guests where there are any queries or outstanding information
* Contact our hotel suppliers to ask for additional allocation or special requests in German
* Send regular rooming lists to the hotels and ensure that these have been received and confirmed in German
* Check that the correct payments have been made by clients
* Collect final balance payments and follow up outstanding payments
* Deal with client refunds and cancellations
* Respond to complaints and pass them on to the Directors
* Send out Booking Packs before holiday departure
* Send out After- holiday Questionnaires
* Work closely with our sales staff and support the sales team by taking some of their calls during busy periods or cover for holidays

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR SPEAKING TOUR OPERATIONS CONSULTANT / ADMINISTRATOR:

The job would suit a self-motivated, independent person who is good at managing their time and work schedule without supervision. The person must be good at double-checking, spotting errors and missing information and be accurate and methodical in their approach to their work. They must be able to understand and apply existing rules and procedures with confidence. At the same time, they must be friendly and approachable with good customer service skills and be able to answer occasional sales calls where needed.

FURTHER DETAILS:

The job would be part-time initially, becoming full-time as the role develops. Part-time hours would be 4-5 hours a day 5 days a week. The job would be working from home, but the applicant must be able to travel to Austria or to a meeting for staff training in the UK  2 - 3 times a year.
