| O&B Recruitment part of the O'Neill & Brennan Group are currently hiring for an IT Database Administrator for our client based in Limerick. The position will be responsible for administrating high availability, internally developed Java based Web portals on Apache, JBoss and MySql platforms. Experienced Required: * Experience in Database Administration, ideally with MySql. *Setting up replication, clustering. Database performance tuning and monitoring. Backups and restores. *Experience in Java Application Server, ideally JBoss. *High level of understanding of JBoss application servers. Monitoring the system and resolving the issues at high speed. Setting up and configuring application cluster. *Experience in Web Server – Apache *Good understanding of maintaining the system. Setting up & configuring virtual servers. Monitoring and tuning the performance. Setting up load balancing. *Hosting Environment * Three years experience in supporting a hosting environment in 24/7 data centre. Good knowledge of hardware, especially Dell Poweredge servers and SAN infrastructure. Experience in monitoring performance and troubleshooting technical or hardware issues. *Operating Systems / Networking * Excellent technical knowledge of Windows 2003, Linux. Experience in configuring / supporting DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Exchange 2003. Experience in supporting and administration of firewalls (Watchguard, Netscreen) switches and VPN. Experience in virtualization platforms – Vmware, Citrix.
