| The Programme Sourcing Manager will be responsible for identifying and establishing supply chains for new programmes and working with the appropriate businesses functions to achieve a robust transfer from product development into volume production. The position required a significant degree of influencing skill as the success, of this position will depend on the individual’s ability to build consensus, gain support, and achieve the successful implementation of initiatives through the individual business teams The Responsibilities The Programme Sourcing Manager will develop and embed supply chain strategies for new programmes in line with the individual commodity strategies. They will be expected to deliver, or better, the target costs used to formulate the original purchased item pricing. Support commodity managers with contract negotiation and perform contract reviews with suppliers Manage the implementation of strategies through close working relationships with the individual business functions. Provide the interface between the programme and the Commodity Manager Coordinate supplier involvement in the programme to reduce costs. Manage/update the Supply chain cost tracking tool The Candidate Must have a Purchasing / commercial background Project/programme management skills Excellent interpersonal skills. Has operated within a commercial role in a large multi division organisation. Experience of introducing new suppliers. Ideally the candidate will have Manufacturing industry experience Technical background (significant interface with engineers) Experience of global sourcing JAM is acting as an Employment Agency with respect to this vacancy. |
