| EXCITING NEW CAREER OPPORTUNITY – MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST Vacancy – Marketing Communications Specialist Location – North West UK The Background: A world-leading, innovative company delivering a full portfolio of advanced and high-tech products for the scientific sector, this exciting and forward thinking company is now looking to recruit a Marketing Communications Specialist. Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, you will support the marketing communications function for the business unit in areas such as collateral development, PR, promotions, trade shows and online/direct mail. The Role: You’ll enjoy an exciting and varied position, in which your responsibilities will include to: -Support the branding (and if needed the re-branding) activities for the business unit, which includes collateral production, images, promotional collateral, packaging and other MarCom projects -Work within the Marketing Communications budget, tracking spend, forecasting and reporting status. -Manage and allocate work to external resources where it makes good business sense: agencies, printers, photographers, exhibit houses, etc. Driving to corporate guidelines and maximizing savings while maintaining quality. -Manage newsletter participation – gathering of content, reviewing and development of newsletters, or submission to relevant newsletter owners -Involvement in developing and implementing social media strategy for the business unit -Work as part of the MarCom groups to strengthen the overall marketing strategies of the division. Interface with all other Divisional and regional Marketing Communications personnel. You: You’ll demonstrate excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to gain consensus and influence organisational behaviour. You’ll hold a degree/equivalent/equivalent experience in a business, marketing, finance or life science discipline, and will have knowledge of marketing communications for the life science market.
