| Senior Energy Consultant London & Home Counties Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (depends on exp) + excellent company benefits Job Ref: DR45473 The Company: Our client provides an energy consultancy to mainly major industrial companies but also to various commercial clients. Predominately operating across sectors such as aerospace, pharmaceutical and food & drink. Through the delivery of proven reductions in energy costs and CO2 emissions, our client has enjoyed success in establishing and developing strong long term partnership agreements. The Job: Our client is looking to expand their team and appoint additional Senior Consultants to meet increasing clients and new market opportunities. Extensive travel would be required in the UK with occasional International travel The key deliverables for this role will be: • Regular attendance (weekly or monthly) at client’s sites to integrate with and provide hands on support to site based energy management teams. Specific scope of work may include: o Investigate energy using processes and systems to identify opportunities for savings o Where appropriate assist site with capital application for project implementation o Facilitate and participate in energy reduction workshops o Work with site teams and contractors to implement opportunities o Monitoring and targeting of energy savings o Energy management training and mentoring • Carry out detailed energy surveys and specialised investigations and development of site energy maps; • Specification and project management of energy saving projects; • Development of follow on consultancy work including writing and presenting proposals. Experience / Skills needed: A good understanding of energy systems including many of the following: • Steam generation and distribution; • HVAC systems • Building Energy Management Systems; • Lighting • Compressed air • Refrigeration, (process and HVAC) • Combustion • Industrial air processes including dehumidification and drying • Industrial processes • Combined heat and power (CHP). A Key requirement is the ability to take a holistic view of a complex site and the interaction of many of the above areas in order to identify the most effective solution to reducing energy consumption and cost. Knowledge of CRC, EU ETS and other legislative and fiscal drivers would be ideal. Must hold a track record in energy consultancy with a process or industrial bias.
