CNC & Assembly Operatives – Full Time – Brigg

QK TEX Ltd is the UK’s foremost manufacturer of furniture for touring and motor caravans, of which most is produced at our second factory in Brigg, Lincolnshire, which is where you’ll be based. Our extensive product portfolio is supported by 50 years of experience together with our modern UK manufacturing facilities.

The Role – Factory Operatives:

CNC Machine Operators:

Operating a CNC Router/Edgebander to produce high quality furniture parts
Understanding the specifications of each task and ensuring the final product accurately matches mechanical drawings
Conducting thorough quality control checks
Preparing test runs to check the machines produce high outputs according to specifications
Completing routine maintenance
Semi-skilled Assembly Operator:

Cutting and assembling high quality furniture parts using table saws, presses, routers and hand tools
Modifying components according to measurements and specifications
Conducting thorough quality control checks
Checking output to ensure highest quality

Person specification – Factory Operatives:

Previous experience as either a CNC Operator or as a skilled Assembler
A strong background in a factory environment
Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes
Punctual and able to work accurately with a willing attitude
A keen eye for detail with good analytical skills
Ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work independently on own initiative but also a good team player

Terms of role:

Hours: Mon to Thurs 5:45am to 14:15 and Friday 5:45am to 12:45 (4 x 8 hours + 1 x 7 hours = 39 Hours) OR Mon to Thurs 14:00 to 00:15 (4 x 9.25 hours = 39 hours).

Salary: Trainee £9.41 per hour, Experienced operator up to £11.58 per hour & Late shift incurs £15 per shift uplift (extra £60 per week).
