Job Title: Commercial Electrician (JIB Gold Card)
Location: Lakeside Shopping Centre, Grays (RM20 2ZP)
Start Date: Monday 24th August
Duration: 4 months
Hours: 07:30 17:00 (Standard day), with optional overtime available up to 18:30 daily
Pay Rate: £27 – £30 per hour (CIS)
We are looking for a qualified JIB Gold Card Electrician for a long-term commercial contract at Lakeside Shopping Centre. The role will primarily involve carrying out extensive remedial works, distribution board upgrades, and new commercial lighting installations across site car park structures.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute remedial electrical works across commercial car park structures.
* Carry out distribution board upgrades and replacements.
* Install new commercial lighting and emergency lighting systems.
* Work independently off technical drawings, containment layouts, and schedules.
* Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance on site.
Requirements & Qualifications
* JIB / ECS Gold Card (Essential).
* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent apprenticeship).
* City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS 7671).
* Proven experience working in commercial environments (retail, car parks, or large-scale infrastructure).
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work off own initiative.
Salary: £27 – £30/hour
