The purpose of this role is to provide operational leadership and functional management of the technical staff within the Hard Facilities management team. To ensure that repairs and physical maintenance of the property portfolio is conducted with due regard to legal requirements and the safety of all customers and staff who use the buildings.

As Operational Manager for Hard FM the post holder will be accountable for the following services:
Reporting directly to the Hard FM Lead, the post holder is wholly responsible for delivering all day to day (Inc. out of hours and emergencies) reactive maintenance for properties in scope across Oxfordshire.
Managing a team of multi-disciplinary Hard FM and technical staff including their recruitment, induction, appraisal, Health & Safety, Learning & Development and other appropriate HR matters in accordance with HR policies.
Developing and maintaining excellent client relationships and with external partners
Monitor and audit to deliver a well maintained and statutory compliant estate.
Ensuring that our maintenance workforce are safe and adhere to H&S Policies. All staff to be trained and ensure it is recorded.
Act as cost centre manager for the Hard FM Service and assume direct responsibility for the management of allocated budgets in accordance with organisation policies.
Ensuring SLAs and maintenance standards are maintained at a high level and always look to exceed expectations.
Be accountable for excellent service delivery in the team activities and achievements of its aims and operational objectives ensuring continuous improvement.Profile
To be considered for this role it is essential that applicants hold a technical qualification relating to Hard FM. It is also expected that applicants will be able to demonstrate prior experience of leading the delivery of Hard FM services in a prior role whether that be via an in house maintenance team or in a contract management role.
The role is based in Oxfordshire and will require regular travel within this region so the ideal candidate would live in or around this region.
A salary of up to £60,000 plus a public sector pension is on offer for this role.
