To ensure sales and profitability budget is achieved by the development of profitable project wins – Selling to main contractors and roofing contractors.
* You will drive efficiency improvements within the business to ensure we maximise effectiveness and hence business profitability.
Reporting directly to the Sales Director but working closely with the Internal Sales and Technical Marketing Team
Responsible for gaining opportunities to bid for large projects/contracts within the roofing and cladding industry and managing the conversion process completely through to won business.
Key tasks include:
Achieving a sales budget for roofing and cladding projects and contracts and agreeing the figures with the Sales Director
* Setting up a process to monitor progress on roofing and cladding projects and contracts based around the CRM system.
* Regularly updating the sales Director and Internal Sales Team on roofing and cladding projects progress.
* Establishing a process for gaining market intelligence for forthcoming potential opportunities within the roofing and cladding. Developing a contact network to provide early warning of opportunities with new and existing customers.
* Establishing criteria for qualifying opportunities to maximise effective use of own time and resource.
* Representing the business professionally when bidding for roofing and cladding projects and contracts ensuring that all documentation and correspondence is to the highest standard.
* Gaining experience of new sales processes and technologies particularly for conversion of Quotes etc…
* Achieving personal sales and profitability targets, pipeline volumes and conversion rates.
* Taking part in monthly Sales Team meetings, as appropriate.
* Visiting existing customers and potential customers with Commercial Director and/or staff to assist in winning new business and raising the profile of the business to develop future opportunities.
* Supporting the Commercial Director in specific sales/marketing and business development activities.
The Candidate:
* High level of technical knowledge regarding modern construction methods, products and applications within the roofing and cladding industry. You will have either worked for an OEM in the sector or sold into the sector!
* Extensive experience managing your own diary across a large territory with a good mix of new business and account growth (sales)
* Thorough knowledge of the Roofing industry or construction background and able to have good inter personal skills and a good communicator.
* Trustworthy – professional – hard working – with good stability and a proven track record
