Salary: £37,818.90 | 42 hours per week | Full training provided

Overview of the Role

This is much more than a security role. You will work directly with prisoners, colleagues and partner teams to maintain safety, encourage positive behaviour and support rehabilitation. No previous prison experience is required – we are looking for people with the right values, resilience and attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff and visitors.
Build positive professional relationships and encourage constructive behaviour.
Respond calmly and professionally to challenging situations and incidents.
Support prisoners to engage with education, work and rehabilitation opportunities.
Work closely with colleagues and partner services to support the daily prison regime.What We Are Looking For

Successful candidates will complete a fully-funded 9-week Initial Training Course at HMP Millsike. The role also offers 33 days’ annual leave including Bank Holidays, ongoing development, wellbeing support and a range of employee benefits.
