One of our large manufacturing clients based in Corsham, are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team.
The ideal candidate would have previous experience as a team leader or a production supervisor, with a team size between 25-40 staff at a time. Direct experience in a role of this nature within a pharmaceutical company would give you an advantage.

*Reporting to Manufacturing Manager
*Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
*Responsible for overseeing Operator’s contribution to the achievement of Production department objectives.
*To supervise, mentor and monitor manufacturing operators in their execution of their duties.
*Responsible for highlighting issues to the Manufacturing Manager, including personnel and shortages likely to impact manufacturing.
*Responsible for helping to resolve employee issues and disputes.
*To ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to within manufacturing.
*Maintains staff levels by, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
*Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analysing production performance records and data, answering questions and responding to requests.
*Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
*Ensuring all Operations team members are cross trained and maintaining skills levels to optimise flexibility within the workforce.
*Ensuring all areas are kept clean, tidy, and free from clutter.
*Ensure paperwork is filled out correctly and promptly.

In addition to the main duties there may, from time to time, also be other job-related tasks that will need to be actioned by you to support the running of the Company. These duties will form a less significant part of the role.
Success in this role will be measured by the operational efficiency of the Company, specifically in the areas detailed above.
*You have authority to raise purchase orders for the irradiation of stock.
*You have the authorisation to determine and adjust processes used within the warehouse and production, subject to amendment of SOPs.
*You have the authority to use reasonable travel expenses in the execution of your role.
*You have authority to negotiate supplier pricing, except for the Principal suppliers. (Any significant increase to be agreed with the Managing Director)
