Qualified Accountant – Full Time – Bracknell

Our Client – a non-profit distributing association promoting knowledge and providing specialist services for construction and building services stakeholders

The Role – will be responsible for the control and maintenance of all of financial systems. The main requirement is to ensure that on a constant basis the financial position is being accurately tracked and reported. The role holder, along with the Financial Controller will ensure that business systems continue to meet and improve current business requirements and meet accounting and legal requirements. Based In Bracknell this position is full time and permanent

General duties

* Manage and be responsible for all aspects of the accounting systems:

* Maintain the general ledgers and perform regular reviews

* Provide accurate and timely financial information – management accounting and projects

* Review stock and stock policies and procedures

* Develop and improve business software (Access Dimensions)

* Cash control, management, and forecasting

* Maintain records of our Client and statutory requirements.

* Information – effective control and management

* Control / reporting – effective management of sales and purchase ledgers. Ensure all accounts are monitored on a regular basis, to ensure that creditor and debtor ratios are maintained within our Clients objectives

* Payroll system – management and reporting – all aspects, including Inland Revenue

* Budgeting process

* Trading / management forecasts

* Statutory accounts and corporation tax

* Tax / VAT / foreign currency management – dealing with regulators as necessary

* Manage the finance team

* Direct line responsibility of the assigned team

* Deputise for the Financial Controller as needed

* Identification and implementation of process improvements

Working Hours and Benefits

This role’s working pattern is 37 hours per week, Mon – Thursday 8.30am-5pm and on Friday 8.30am-4.30pm This is an office-based role

Personal Specification

* Would ideally suit a qualified Accountant with 2-5 years PQE (or equivillent) to fit the career development opportunities suitable to this company

* Clear & concise communicator: Written and oral

* Ability to motivate / inspire colleagues

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise

* Intermediate to advanced applications software expertise (Excel & Dimensions)

* Improvement mind-set

* ACCA or CIMA Qualified

* 3 years or equivalent experience in a similar role (Desirable)

Salary: £40000 – £45000/annum
