About the opportunity:

We are now looking for a Regional Maintenance Squad Lead, who will lead a squad whose mission is to plan, schedule and execute maintenance activities and provide an integrated schedule of all activities on the Production Unit (PDU).

As the successful candidate, you will report to the bp Angola Maintenance & Reliability Discipline Manager and you will be a key member of the PDU leadership team accountable for delivery of the PDU’s business plans and for supporting offshore operations.

In this role, you will have the great opportunity to communicate the PDU priorities to the squad as well as provide leadership and support as required to deliver the squad commitments. You will monitor and quarterly present the work management and activity integration metrics to identify opportunities and plans for improvement. You will also be the budget owner for the maintenance budget for PDU. Lastly, as the squad lead, you will collaborate with the maintenance discipline leads to obtain functional resources for your squad and ensure discipline processes and standards are met in the squad.

About the role:

In more detail, some of your key accountabilities will be to:Maintain the site constraints document

Deliver 12-week readiness on all activities

Drive PDU squad priorities

Be accountable for a multidisciplinary squad and deliver the planning, scheduling, and execution of all maintenance activities for the asset as well as integration of all functional activities into an executable schedule for the asset

Be accountable for continuous prioritization of Integration & Maintenance Squad activities/backlog

Be accountable for 12-week readiness of all Maintenance activities and 12-week gatekeeper for all executable activities for the PDU

Ensure the performance management and evaluation of the discipline e.g. KPIs Schedule Attainment/ Schedule Stability & other key metrics

Foster excellence in squad by role-modeling leadership behaviors and agile ways of working

Ensure implementation of activities in conformance with bp’s safety and operational risk agenda

About you:

You will have a Bachelors degree in Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.

It would be essential that you have:Strong business acumen and performance orientation to make value & risk based prioritization decisions

Proven track record executing maintenance within maintenance or construction

Familiarity with CMMS, Work Management processes and Activity Integration processes

Strong project management skills

Strong interpersonal and influence skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

It would also be useful, but not vital, that you have:Experience working with or leading planning, scheduling, and work execution

Operations experience in either engineering, construction, or maintenance management

Familiarity with reliability principles and equipment maintenance strategies
