Sales Order Processor – Full Time –

I am looking for a Part Time Sales Order Processor for my client based in Baldock. This role is a temp to perm position for the right person.

Primary Duties and responsibilities

With responsibility of the primary duties and responsibilities include: (but not limited to)

• Carefully check Orders received versus quotes issued prior to processing orders – reject to source if anything is incorrect / unclear or if there is any uncertainty
• Accurately processing sales order from the sales team, agents/distributors and customers.
• Providing sales order acknowledgements back to customers
• Deal with a variety of customer enquiries & queries via email and (or) telephone
• Raising and tracking of samples requests
• Delivery enquiries
• Maintaining / updating customer order delivery dates in sage 200
• Informing customers of updates on deliveries
• Liaising with Logistics and Operations to inform customers of updates on their orders
• First point of contact for customers or incoming sales and sales email inbox
• To assist customers, sales with any questions on product after sales
• Maintaining pricing in Sage 200
• Setting up new customers in the sage system
• Providing customers with stock reports if requested
• Communicate clearly, effectively, and efficiently to all relevant parties
• Logging customer price movements

Qualifications / Role requirements

• Minimum – GCSE level C or above including
o Math and English Language.
• Additional – A nationally recognised sales qualification or equivalent
o City & Guilds
• Other languages in addition to English would be advantageous
• Ability to create a good rapport with customers over the phone with previous proven experience.
• Used to using ERP / MRP systems for data entry and order processing – (experience of Sage ERP / MRP is an advantage)

Personal Attributes and skills

• Very high level of working accurately with an eye for detail
• Proven experience of Sales order processing and customer interaction.
• Used to working with and updating CRM software systems – Sage CRM an advantage
• Experience working with Sage or similar financial / ERP software
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to deal with people in a friendly and professional manner
• Well-presented and personable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, especially questioning and listening.
• Flexible and adaptable – able to cope with changing requirements and situations.
• Able to follow processes and procedures reliably.
• Has the ability to suggest / make improvements to processes and procedures.
• Willing to learn / develop their skills.
• Possess a good and confident manner
• Clear focus on accuracy of work and attention to detail
• Strong motivation and good organization skills

This role would suit someone who is looking for a part time role Monday to Friday and can be flexible on hours to suit school hours.

£20,000-£30,000 PRO RATA and depending on experience
