Stores Person required for electronics / electro-mechanical product manufacturing company in Folkestone, Kent.
Our client is a long established, small but very successful specialist instrumentation equipment manufacturer who design and manufacture electronic testing equipment for industry (construction, power, oil & gas etc).
Stores Person Purpose
The Stores Person will aid in the running of the stores, purchasing and despatch. The Stores Person will support the Stores Administrator and the Despatch Administrator in their day to day work, and will cover for them, under supervision, during holiday or other absence.
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent Level 2 Qualification.
Numeracy, attention to detail.
Polite, punctual, proactive and willing to learn.
Right to work in the UK.
Experience in a similar role.
Competence in Excel or ERP systems.
Other qualifications at or above GCSE level.
Evidence of working towards any of the above.
Stores Person Responsibilities, Goals & Objectives
Warehouse work, particularly,
Understanding Bills of Materials (BOM), Picking of Parts for Works Orders
Receipt of Goods, Goods Inwards Procedure
Packaging & Packing Components for Sales / Despatch
Preparing Shipping Documents
On-the-job training & supervision will be provided. The company will consider sponsoring an apprenticeship or other training if appropriate.
